| This is a WW1 officers pocket watch style antique compass made by Short & Mason of London and was used by the Canadian Army since it is marked with the military arrow /|\ inside a C. The case is Nickel plated and in excellent condition. It has a strong hinge. Inside front lid it has the serial number 35 T. The glass crystal covers the distinctive floating dial card both in excellent condition. The dial is marked SHORT & MASON LTD., LONDON and Tycos crossed by an arrow at North.In full working order and finds North easily. The transit lock is also in working order. A rare compass by quality English maker. Measures 4.7cm diameter. It would make a great gift. |
