Code BA150210724: Singers Patent Hunter Compass by BARRETT, c. 1890

This is a beautiful and rare full hunter compass made by the BARRETT firm around 1895. There are only few of these compasses and no one is like the other. The case is made of brass. It is free of dings or dents. It has a strong hinge and springs open when the push button is pressed. It has a mother-of-pearl dial, which is a real beauty. It is marked BARRETT, 144 FLEET ST, LONDON and free of chips or any kind of damage. The dial has a quality jewelled brass cap and a transit activated when the lid is closed. It in perfect working order and finds North precisely. It measures 3.75 cm in diameter. A beautiful compass that would make a great gift.
