Code BA15120501: English Officer WWII Wrist Compass

This is a rare English officer wrist compass dating from WWII. It is like a pocket compass except that it does not have a ring or a pendent. Instead it has a small button that must be pushed for the lid to spring open. The case has a black finish typically military. The lid spring open and does not travel beyond the right angle. The case is in excellent condition without dings or dents. It still have most of its original paints as can be seen in the pictures. The compass is covered with a thick glass crystal that is also in excellent condition and free of chips or scratches. It has a copper or brass bezel. It has a dry rotating card the points North easily and precisely. The transit lock is also activated when lid is closed. It comes with a green military type strap. This is a rare and quality compass. Size is approximately 46.5mm (1.83 inches) in diameter.
