The Boreal Arrow

Code BA16031001: Early 19thC Leather-Cased Pocket Compass

This a nice leather cased compass made in England around 1880. The compass inner case is made of gilt metal. It has a nice dial typically of late 1800 era. It has a blue needle with letters N (North) and S (South). The compass is in excellent working order and finds North easily and precisely. The compass is fitted in a nice brown leather wood case with dark blue velvet inside and still in excellent condition for its age. The hook is present and the lid closed and opens as it should. The inner compass measures 28mm in diameter and the leather outer case measures 35mm in diameter. Very nice and quality compass.
