Code BA18082101: Antique Singers Patent MOP Dial Brass Compass, c. 1870
| This is a nice and rare early British compass dating c. 1870. The compass comes in a solid brass case in excellent condition with only some minor signs of use. It has a nice hand-painted Mother-of-Pearl Singer's Patent dial in excellent condition. The jewelled cap is high quality and allows the dial to rotate smoothly to find North precisely. When the lid is closed it activates the transit lock, which freezes the dial when the compass is not in use. The compass measures 47mm in diameter. Very nice and rare compass. |
