The Boreal Arrow

Code T02: Large English Hunter Compass c. 1900

This is a nice and rare full hunter compass probably made by Francis Barker & Son around 1900. The case is made of an oxidized metal and has the form of a pocket watch case. It is in excellent condition without dings or dents. Inside the front lid it has a serial number 64. It has a strong hinge with a quality bar needle with jewelled brass cap and points North precisely and easily. The transit lock is also functioning when lid is closed. The dial has a nice pattern and is marked MADE IN ENGLAND. It measures 50mm in diameter (excluding pendant, crown and bow). Very nice example in excellent condition.
