Code BA22111301: Short & Mason English Hunter Compass, c. 1910
| This is a nice English compass dating from early 1900. It is made by Short & Mason, London signed on dial. It comes in a brass full hunter case in excellent condition with normal signs of use. No dings or dents. The case has a strong hinge. It clicks when it is closed. The dial is in nice condition. The compass is covered with a thick bevelled flat glass crystal in excellent condition. It is in full working order and points North easily. The transit lock that prevents the needle from moving when the lid is closed is also in working order. It measures around 45mm in diameter. |
