Code BA23053108: English Pocket Watch Style Compass, c. 1900

This is a nice hunter compass very similar to a F. Barker & Son model called the PATHFINDER. It was made in the early 1900. The case is oxidized brass and still in excellent condition. Only normal sign of use. No dings or dents. The case of this compass is very thin (only 1cm), and has a pocket watch crown that must be pushed to open the lid. The case has a strong hinge. Inside front marked with serial number 109. The flat beveled glass crystal is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. It has a red line under it with main cardinal points. The compass has a quality bar needle. The dial is marked MADE IN ENGLAND. The compass is in excellent working order (finds North easily and precisely) including the transit lock. It measures around 49mm in diameter.
