| This a nice and rare compass compass made c. 1900. The case is is made of oxidized metal in excellent condition without any dings, dents or damage. The compass has slightly domed glass crystals on both sides. Both crystals are in excellent condition without scratches or chips. The compass could also be used as a magnifier. It has a quality bar needle suspended between the two glass crystals. It has two different patterns for the dial sides. It is very precise and points North easily. This is a rare and nice quality compass. It comes in its original leather case with a strong hinge and a hook to secure the lid closed. The leather case is still in excellent condition without any damage. The compass measures around 30mm in diameter. The leather case measures around 40mm in diameter. |
