Code BA24010602: Small French Hunter Compass with Box, c. 1920

This is a nice French compass dating from around 1920. This is the smallest of its kind since it measures about 24mm in diameter. It comes in a gilt brass hunter case in excellent condition without any dings or dents. The case has a strong hinge and the lid springs open as it should when the button is pushed. Inside the lid it is stamped with the serial number: 32. The compass has a nice dial with French cardinal points. It has a small needle with a jewelled brass cap. It finds North without any problem. The compass comes in its original box marked: A La Gerbe d'Or A. Berdou 4. Place Marechal Foch 145 Rue de la Grotte Lourdes This is very nice compass that would make a great gift.
