Code BA24012201: Victorian Leather-Cased Nautical Compass, c. 1880
| This is a nice leather wood cased compass dating back to circa 1880. It has a nice floating dial typically nautical of late 1800 era with a brass cap. The dial is covered with a glass crystal free of chips or scratches. The compass is in excellent working order and finds North easily and precisely. The compass is fitted in a nice brown leather case with dark green velvet and still in excellent condition without any damage. The hook is present and the lid closed and opens as it should. The inner compass measures around 44mm in diameter and the outer case measures around 53mm in diameter. Very nice and quality compass. |
