| This is a nice a rare compass dated c. 1920. It was made by Keuffel & Esser for Queen-Gray. It comes in a nice Nickel hunter case free of dings or dents. Marked QUEEN-GRAY Co., PHILA., USA. on dial. When the push button is pressed the lid springs open to a right angle as it should. It has a strong hinge. It has a transit locking mechanism that comes into play when the lid is closed. This prevents damage to the pivot when the compass is not in use. The glass crystal is in excellent condition, clear and without any scratches. In perfect working order. This model was produced in very limited number. It would make a great gift. Measures around 4.7cm diameter. |
