| This is a beautiful WWII Longines-Wittnauer antique compass made by the LONGINES-WITTNAUER WATCH CO for the Air Forces. It is in full working order and finds North without any problem. The case is nickel in excellent condition without dings or dents. It has a transit lock is activated when the lid is closed to protect the pivot and jewelled bearing when the compass is not in use. The face is stamped Wittnauer and still in excellent condition without any damage. The glass crystal is in excellent condition without any scratches or chips. The compass comes with its original cloth bag and box both in nice condition. The box is marked: POCKET COMPASS . The compass measures approximately 4.7cm in diameter. |
