Code BA24061754: Salesman Display Case for Taylor Compasses, c. 1915
| This is an extremely rare salesman display case for Taylor compasses. I've never seen one before and the only available information about it is here: https://compassmuseum.com/images/pocket4/taylor_cat_1931.jpg. There is room for 8 Taylor compasses inside: Leedawl, Magnapole, Flodial, Litenite, Gydawl, Aurapole, Meradial and Ceebynite. The tray is lined with green velvet to protect the compasses from scratches. It has an easel-back with two different levels for displaying the compasses. The tray is lettered in gold: JEWELLED CENTRE COMPASS, Taylor Quality. The box measures around 23 x 20 cm. This is a great find for the serious collector of Taylor compasses. The compasses pictured inside the tray are not included and are for illustration only. |
